About Adia Labs

Our Mission

Develop the systems and methods needed to extract actionable insights from the vast ocean of data.

Our Challenge

Achieving new scientific breakthroughs demands the analysis and processing of ever-increasing amounts of complex data.

This is particularly noticeable in the context of some of humanity’s most critical challenges: climate change, poverty, financial stability and inclusion, retirement shortfalls, emerging viruses, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and many others.

Traditional statistical and computational methods fall short of scientists’ needs, hindering progress on the issues that affect us all.

Unconstrained thinking and a concerted, collaborative international effort are needed to unlock potential solutions.

Our Focus

ADIA Lab has been created to address these ambitious challenges. As an independent institution dedicated to basic and applied research in data and computational sciences.

ADIA Lab will strive to become a leading center of innovation in data and computational sciences.

Message from the Director of ADIA Lab

Welcome to ADIA Lab!

I am deeply honored and privileged to have been selected as the first Director of ADIA Lab.

At ADIA Lab, we conduct science of the highest quality, encourage multidisciplinary collaboration, and solve large-scale and complex problems through a team science approach.

To accomplish these goals, we seek far-reaching collaborations with academic institutions, industry, and international partners. Through its scientific innovations, ADIA Lab engages with local schools and universities to create learning experiences through internships and related programs. The Lab also fosters technology transfer and commercialization, with a clear focus on encouraging the creation of start-ups. Through these activities, ADIA Lab will play an active role in supporting the growth of Abu Dhabi as a leading international hub for technology and innovation.

ADIA Lab has been created with considerable foresight and an ambitious vision. I look forward to working with some of the best and brightest minds in data and computational sciences to realize that vision together.
